Fiona has worked on projects in Protected Landscapes throughout Great Britain – from Shetland to the South Downs – and in Northern Ireland. She has undertaken a very wide range of projects within National Parks, Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONBs), World Heritage sites and Scottish National Scenic Areas. These projects, combined with her academic knowledge and her experience of living and working in protected landscapes, have given her an in-depth understanding of the particular management issues associated with Protected Landscapes. Fiona is a keen hillwalker, Youth Hosteller and landscape photographer, and has visited all of the English and Welsh National Parks and the majority of the AONBs. Her appreciation and understanding of the UK’s Protected Landscapes is reflected in her work, as demonstrated in recent projects.
